Biography

Wu Di graduated from the Plastic Surgery Program of Peking Union Medical College. He received funding from the “Johnson & Johnson” U.S. Study Fund of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and pursued advanced training in plastic surgery at Boston Children's Hospital of Harvard University and the Department of Plastic Surgery at the University of Michigan. In 2019, he received the (Zhang Disheng) China Plastic Surgery Outstanding Young Physician Award. He has been engaged in plastic and aesthetic surgery of the lip and nose for nearly 20 years, specializing in primary and secondary aesthetic plastic repair of cleft lip and palate, comprehensive lip surgery, and comprehensive rhinoplasty, with extensive clinical experience and surgical skills. Each year, he provides genetic counseling and surgical treatment to hundreds of patients with cleft lip and palate from all over China, and is widely praised by patients and their families. He actively participates in charitable medical outreach activities for cleft lip and palate, bringing high-quality medical care to children with cleft lip and palate in remote areas. His research focuses on the pathogenic genes of cleft lip and palate, and he has received one General Program project and one Young Scientists Fund project from the National Natural Science Foundation of China.
